Open Call for Experimental Radio
OOO (Out of Office) Radio are seeking eight experimental radio/ sound works for broadcast: between 30 min and 2hrs, either live or pre-recorded. Ideally, it would be something new or not been aired/ publicly heard before.
Selected works will be broadcast on OOO Radio between 3rd - 26th November, where the radio will be live for the duration of the exhibition ‘Together with’ at Forum Box, Helsinki. There will be a small payment of 100€ for works selected for broadcast.
OOO Radio is a nomadic radio station that broadcasts from the back of a bike, focussing on experimental radio and sound art in public space. Longer term it will become a shared resource for the arts in Helsinki, using a loaning system that will prioritise participatory approaches to broadcasting and material that would otherwise not have a place on traditional stations.
OOO Radio is a long-term community radio project initiated by @prevettjames and @samanthalippett, with the help of @timberland_vaittinen. It will premiere at @forumbox, Helsinki in November 2023.

You can respond to the concept of OOO Radio, or something else but please indicate the theme and what it might sound like, as well as whether it would be live or pre-recorded. It would be helpful if you can also indicate what time of day would be the perfect time for broadcast. We are interested in experimental and unusual radio and are not seeking DJ sets/ popular music. You do not need to be a professional in radio or sound or art to apply.
